MADISON COUNTY, Ill. – A suspect is in custody for the hit-and-run death of a 25-year-old man over the weekend, police announced Tuesday morning.
Mark Scott Harris Jr. of St. Louis was found around 7:45 a.m. Sunday along the side of Route 203, a quarter of a mile from 21st Street. Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn says Harris died from blunt head trauma.

The suspect’s name will be released if charges are filed.
A visitation for Harris will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Grace Church St. Louis, 2695 Creve Coeur Mill Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. A funeral will follow at 10 a.m.
